Towards a climate-neutral built environment in 2050

How does one go about making every Dutch neighbourhood climate-neutral? What kind of action is necessary and what is the price tag? These are the questions that CE Delft answers in this study. It shows where natural gas and green gas remain the best option for future heating of dwellings and other buildings. It also shows that for half the country’s homes district heating will be the cheapest option, for a quarter gas, and for a quarter electrical heat pumps. The study was carried out by CE Delft on a commission from GasTerra.
