Emma Koster
researcher/consultant

Emma Koster is a researcher and consultant with CE Delft’s Sustainable Cities section. She has a background in Applied Physics at Delft University of Technology, where she specialized in sustainability and technology. She completed her study there with research on organic solar cells, followed by a research traineeship at Cornell University (NY) on a sustainable energy supply for an off-grid dairy farm. Her ambition is to make a contribution to greening the Dutch energy supply, prompting her decision to follow up her studies with an engineering traineeship at grid operators Alliander. In her five years there she held a variety of positions, one of which involved modelling the resilience of urban infrastructure to events like flooding and power outages. From her studies and her experience at Alliander she brings know-how on the energy transition and its implications for infrastructure.
