Smart charging a ‘must have’ for growth of electric vehicles

‘Smart charging’ aims to create scope for charging large numbers of electric vehicles using as much renewable (solar and wind) power as possible, while at the same time ensuring that energy demand is accommodated within the constraints of the generating system. This study, commissioned by Enpuls and a collaborative effort by CE Delft, APPM, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciencews and ElaadNL, examines the social costs and benefits of ‘smarty charging’.
